Just a note on knits
I'm headed off to work soon, but I was checking in and felt I should leave a note, so I can prove I'm still blogging...
I was just reading my friend V's blog (who lives far away from me and has for about 4 years), and it seems she has become quite the knitter. It makes me so happy. I knew she was into it, but she's far surpassed me now, though I can remember encouraging her in her beginner days.
I was starting to get an itch because I hadn't knit in so long. On top of that, my crafty night had a three week break between some re-scheduling and the Labor Day holiday. So I was really needing to get my craft on. I went out determined to find a good yarn store open on Sunday. Lo and behold, the one nearest my house is the only (good) one in town open on Sundays. I dashed down there, got some help from a very energetic associate, and left with two new yarns...one just for the heck of it, and one for a new project. Then I dashed to crafty group to begin a --- duh, duh, duh! --- project for myself. I always find cute patterns or yarns that I think would be great for so-and-so, and the result is I almost never make anything for myself. But now I am. So there. Pics to follow soon.....
